As a third-generation, family-owned business, quality is a cornerstone of our brand. We engineer our equipment out of the finest materials so that you can depend on them year after year. Here is a closer look at the durable materials we use to construct our renowned Burks pumps, air vacuums, and return systems.

Burks Pumps: Cast Bronze, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron

Burks pumps is the industry standard boiler pump in the dry cleaning industry when it comes to durable, long lasting, quality construction. Burks pumps come in several different materials, each with varying benefits to fit the wide variety of applications the pumps are used for. The cast bronze and stainless steel Burks pumps both resist corrosion, making them a popular option for when various liquids are being pumped, or they are being used in a boiler application where they are exposed to boiler compound. They are also available in cast iron for extremely heavy-duty applications where liquid exposure is minimal.

Air Vacuums: Aircraft-Grade Aluminum, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel

The turbines found within our air vacuums are constructed out of aircraft grade aluminum to ensure they will not rust and they will withstand the most intense conditions. The tanks the turbines sit on are made out of either 304 stainless steel or 12-gauge carbon steel, which are specially treated with a primer to make sure they do not corrode. To complete the ironclad construction, the castings on the top and bottom are quality turned and the impellers are precision balanced and flush welded to make sure there is no air drag.

Return Systems: Multiple Steel Types

Our return systems come in several different types of steel to meet every type of application and budget. The thinnest option is the 14-gauge carbon steel, followed by the heavy-duty 11-gauge carbon steel. These selections will last for about 3-5 years and come with a one-year warranty. For more intense applications, we have the extra strong 3/16” steel and the 304 stainless steel return systems. The stainless steel is manufactured to prevent corrosion, and if it is taken care of properly it will last for generations. Our stainless steel return systems include a three-year warranty.

No matter which of our products you require, you can be confident that you are getting a piece of equipment that was built with the finest materials using the highest standards. As much as we care about quality, we also strive to provide the best customer service in our industry. We work hard to build personal relationships with all of our clients and we look forward to showing you our incredible products in person.
