Condensate Receiver Systems
Condensate receiver systems are collection-and-transfer packages used to collect hot condensate or water in a receiver tank and pump it to the required destination. These systems are commonly used in HVAC systems, steam heating systems, mechanical rooms, factories, process areas, and commercial or industrial facilities where condensate cannot return by gravity or must be collected in a separate area before being pumped away.
Rema LLC manufactures simplex and duplex condensate receiver systems in 3/16" thick mild steel BR Series and 11-gauge 304 stainless steel BR-SS Series options. Systems can be supplied with Burks GV6 vertical multistage pumps, other Burks pump models, or other available pump brands when required by the application.
Find the Right Equipment
Need a Receiver System, Boiler Feed System, or Replacement Tank?
These products are related because they all collect, hold, or move condensate and hot water. The correct choice depends on whether you need a level-controlled receiver package, a boiler-room feed or return system, or only a replacement tank for an existing unit.
Condensate Receiver Systems
Use when condensate or water needs to collect in a receiver tank and be pumped out by a float switch or level control. These systems are often used for remote collection, HVAC condensate, mechanical rooms, factory areas, or pumping back to another system.
Condensate / Boiler Feed Systems
Use when the application is a boiler-room condensate return or boiler feed package. These systems collect returning condensate and supply water back to the boiler system when the boiler or boiler feed controls call for water.
Replacement Condensate Return Tanks
Use when the existing system tank is leaking, corroded, or damaged, but the pump, motor, frame, or controls may still be usable. These are tank-only replacement options, not complete pump systems.
What Is a Condensate Receiver System?
A condensate receiver system is a tank-and-pump package used to collect condensate or hot water and move it to another location. Incoming condensate enters the receiver tank, and when the water level rises to the float switch or level control set point, the pump starts and transfers the water out of the receiver.
Depending on the application, the discharge from a condensate receiver system may be sent to a boiler feed system, condensate return system, drain, process tank, recirculation line, remote mechanical room, or another collection point. This makes receiver systems useful when gravity return is not practical or when condensate needs to be collected in one part of a facility and moved elsewhere.
Receiver systems are used in HVAC systems, steam heating systems, factories, laundries, dry cleaning plants, schools, universities, apartment buildings, mechanical rooms, and process areas where level-controlled condensate collection and transfer are required.
Common Uses for Condensate Receiver Systems
Remote Condensate Collection
Used where condensate is collected in a separate area of a factory, plant, or building and must be pumped back to a central system.
HVAC and Mechanical Rooms
Used to collect condensate or water from mechanical equipment and pump it to the required destination when gravity drainage is not enough.
Transfer to Feed or Return Systems
Used to pump collected condensate back to a boiler feed system, condensate return system, tank, or return line depending on system layout.
Drain or Process Transfer
Used when collected water must be pumped to a drain, process tank, holding tank, or another approved discharge point.
Simplex Applications
Single-pump receiver systems are commonly used where one pump is sufficient for the collection and transfer load.
Duplex Applications
Two-pump receiver systems are used where redundancy, alternating pump operation, or increased reliability is important.
Receiver Construction, Pumps and Custom Options
Steel BR Series
The BR Series is built with 3/16" thick mild steel for commercial and industrial receiver applications where a heavy-duty steel tank is preferred.
Stainless BR-SS Series
The BR-SS Series is built with 11-gauge 304 stainless steel for applications where corrosion resistance and stainless tank construction are preferred.
Pump Options
Standard receiver systems may use Burks GV6 vertical multistage pumps. Rema can also fabricate systems with other Burks pump models or other available pump brands when a Burks model is not available or when the application requires a different pump selection.
Pump selection should be based on the required flow rate, total dynamic head, discharge destination, voltage, phase, temperature, and application conditions. If the standard pump configuration does not match the job, Rema can review the application and quote a suitable pump package.
Receiver System vs. Condensate / Boiler Feed System
| Product Type | How It Operates | Common Use | Where to Go |
|---|---|---|---|
| Condensate Receiver System | Collects condensate or water in a receiver tank. A float switch or level control starts the pump when the water reaches a set level. | Remote condensate collection, HVAC condensate, mechanical rooms, factory areas, transfer to feed systems, drains, tanks, or return lines. | Shop receiver systems |
| Condensate / Boiler Feed System | Collects returning condensate and supplies water back to a boiler system when the boiler or boiler feed controls require water. | Boiler rooms, steam systems, condensate recovery, boiler feed applications, and complete return or feed packages. | View return / feed systems |
| Replacement Condensate Return Tank | Tank-only replacement for an existing condensate return or boiler feed system. | Replacing a leaking or corroded tank while keeping existing pumps, motors, frame, or controls. | View replacement tanks |
