Horizontal, vertical, non-syphon, extra-large, rectangular, and custom – with so many types of steam condensate return systems available, how do you know which one is right for your company? Below, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about choosing a return system. That way, you can make the best decision for your business (and your budget). Let’s take a closer look!

Choosing the Right Return System

When shopping for a return system for your dry-cleaning business or other organization, there are five different options to choose from. These include:

Horizontal

Rema Dri-Vac manufactures 11- and 14-gauge steel horizontal return systems, which are also furnished with Burks pumps. All of our horizontal systems can be custom-made to meet your preferred dimensions and specifications. With a capacity ranging from eight to 53 gallons, horizontal systems are an ideal choice for a variety of businesses, large and small.

Vertical

Depending on the layout of your facility, a horizontal return system may not be the best use of space. If this is the case, a compact vertical return system could be a viable alternative. These units take up just 18 inches of floor space and still include the quality construction you can expect from Rema Dri-Vac products. Even if space isn’t an issue in your facility, opting for a vertical return system can open up more room for other equipment. Plus, vertical systems can provide greater pump head pressure while reducing vapor lock, helping you achieve maximum efficiency.

Non-Syphon

If you’re serious about protecting the environment, a non-syphon system is an excellent choice. These return systems work to ensure that no polluted water enters the local water supply after use. Non-syphon units come in both vertical and horizontal models, allowing you to select the best type for your facility.

Rectangular

Similar to a horizontal tank, a rectangular system sits on the floor of your business. However, its footprint is much smaller. That’s because these machines feature right-angle corners and straight edges, making them easy to store against a wall or in a corner. Rectangular systems also work to prevent backflow and are easy to clean and maintain. Our standard rectangular return systems range from 28 to 45 gallons in capacity.

Extra-Large

One key factor that sets Rema Dri-Vac apart from others in our industry is our ability to customize products to meet the unique needs of our customers. For some customers, standard gallon tanks aren’t enough, and they may require extra storage capacity. To accommodate for this, we’re pleased to offer extra-large return tanks of up to 500 gallons.
